I think I spent too much of my life on a computer and I find I have the same problem in real life where my mental model thinks there is an undo button. But there's no undo button in life. Once you spend your money, it's gone. Once you drink your beer, you're drunk. Once you neglect your friends, they move on. Once you say something, it's said. You still need to learn by applying random gestures to see what happens, but the only way through the wreckage is forward.
