Two scenarios make sense to me:

1) Sinofsky wanted to finish his Windows 8 project and hung around until mi=
ssion accomplished.=C2=A0 Once done, he's taking off to tackle something ne=
w rather than go into maintenance mode.

2) MS politics.=C2=A0 Others have gotten an edge and Sinofsky's had enough.=
=C2=A0 For example read Scott Barnes'take from back in August: http://www.r=

Wait to see who replaces him.
