--94eb2c0435e61d32d4053abed119 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi Richard, The programs both exist. the server program is located at \\server_name\c\directory\program.exe a program called test.exe is located on a machine across the network and when I run test.exe it connects to the server, finds program.exe at the path given and sends it various commands, sends it requests for information and interacts with it in various other ways. As far as I know, program.exe is simply responding to network requests, it doesn't actually know anything. I'm not using pipes or other IO redirection, (unless that's how the OS is doing it, I'm not clear on that), so I don't think monitoring for IO redirection would help here. Another question. How does the OS handle IO that is targeted for a remote location? Does it actually use pipes? sockets? or something else? That might help me figure out a solution here.
