MY understanding is that you want a separate tooltip separator character to be definable for every command list via a cl function.  If this cl separator is non-blank, it overrides the global separator from the GUI. 

 If correct, that should be do-able at some point.
 

 Precisely what "at some point" means likely depends on whether you use the Unicode version (.37 series).  I've been doing some small fixes to the .35 non-Unicode series that I have not moved to .37and doing that move will take some time.  But I could do a quick exe alpha to the .35 series quickly.
