Sorry, that's my poor knowledge of English. I mean that in order to start whatever script, I have to start it at least twice. This start could be referred to as switch-like. That is, the first script run does nothing (OFF), the second run is successful (ON), the third is empty (OFF), the forth is as expected (ON), etc. As far as I have noticed, this concerned EVERY script regardless of any "quit all" and, I suppose, "endif" operators.
Now I am back to the s1 version. If you wish, I can switch to s2 again and test some scripts.

By the way, when you say "start twice" does that mean they start twice even if quit all not executed. Same question for endif: that is, do you get the error message regardless of whether quit all has run?
If so, that would be puzzling. (It is also puzzling if there is a quit all, but that is the sort of puzzle I have had before).
If no quit all and the offending scripts are short enough to post, I'd like to see them.
