As a workaround for the taskbar issue, if it is just the start button , you could add a button to the front of your bar sized to cover the start button with left command.   keys {to none}{win}
 

 and right command
 keys {to none}{windown}x{winup}
 

 

 the {to none} is important.
 

 If you also have  a taskview button, I think there must be a win key shortcut for that too, but I have not checked.
