Re: Keep bar from "lighting up" on hover?

You can check disable/no 3d for each button to eliminate 3d effect (as per the help, the disable applies to menus and the no 3d applies to buttons.  Not good UI design for configuration stuff I admit.) 

 The taskbar position was based on hacking XP.  I'm surprised it even still works!  In a quick test, I have confirmed you are right that the offsets do not work. 
 

  I guess you could fall back to XP but probably that is not an ideal solution!
 

 Seriously, because it is based on a hack of the internals of the window used to draw the task bar, I don;t plan to change this.
