In case this is of help, 2 more tips have come in from other users elsewher=
e, which I thought and hope might prove useful:

1.-  Re downloading the group's information ...

    "I used something called PGOffline. It's described here: "Yahoo Groups =

    - I checked this and that link's page provides a link to PGOffline dire=
ctly, which is:  http://www.personalgroupware.com/,

      with the link for Yahoo Groups, specifically (which is one of the 3 e=
ntities that can use PGOffline) being:  http://www.personalgroupware.com/pg=
offline-index.htm.

    - There is a video from the creator of PGOffline (published Dec 20, 201=

    (p.s., if you're curious, the 2 other PGOffline options are for:  1. Fa=
cebook Groups Posts downloading service; and, 2. Yahoo or Facebook Group mi=

2.  A blurb from a message from another group lists 5 things of interest:

    "Groups.io works very much like Yahoo groups did before 'neo'.  The guy=
 who created Groups.io was on the team that ran Yahoo groups back in the be=
ginning (yes, well before 'neo'  happened).

    If you have Groups.io move everything over for you, there is a fee of $=
110 for the Premium for a year.  You can move everything over yourself for =
free with 1GB space for free.  I sent an invite to all the members of my Ya=
hoo group, and they all joined themselves instead of being transferred.  Th=
