Piping Commands to a shell through lsxcommand.

Hi beloved Steppers

I am trying to get my todo.txt (todotxt.com) Completely editable
through lsxcommand. The simple parts are all done, I can view my
scrolling todo list through xlabel, and I can add list items through
lsxcommand, textedit and autorecycle. What I would like to do now is
be able to delete list items and have all the functionality of the
original cygwin todo.sh just by using lsxcommand. To my mind I would
have to pipe commands from lsxcommand to a bash shell. But another
thing I'm thinking is that really... All of this should be doable
through textedit.

Can anybody give me some advice on either sending commands to a bash
shell or how I might do the other stuff with textedit? Thanks for any
pointers anybody might have.
