Noob problems

Hi all, I'm a fan of litestep but in a far more casual position than most. I
have no real coding experience or ability to really do anything amazing with
Litestep- the best I've done is edit some .rc files in a theme I like.
Anyways, I have a bizarre problem that just started the other day. For some
reason, I can no  longer change themes. What I mean is, when I select a new
theme via the pop-up, it merely recycles my current theme and nothing else
happens. Anyone know of a reason this would happen, and where a good place
to fix it would be?
