Out of curiosity, what made you (everyone) switch to LS in the first place?

For me it was crash protecting 98.  I already had a customized desktop (that
one person thought was LiteStep, actually).  I needed LS just to keep me old
machine running.

Fast forwarding to modern day...

I really wanted to use LS with the alpha transparency (remember when that
was new), but we all know that didn't exist in 98.  So, when I switched to
XP, I got all the eye candy I could only gaze upon from afar.  Up to the
minute, I need the space LS gives me on my netbook, and it works great with
how I have Rainmeter set on my desktop.

On a side note, part of the reason I'm not using win7 is because it doesn't
work with LS and other programs.  It might as well be linux for me.  I've
gotten things pretty well set b/t LS & Rainmeter:
