Well, unless you ship a Toshiba Portege 4000 to my address I am not able
to test this problem :-). Please try to compile the linuxboot
https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/unattended/wiki/ModifyingTheBootDisk and
modify misc/linux-config to add
CONFIG_EXTRA_FIRMWARE="e100/d101m_ucode.bin"
