xfce4-terminal > Edit > Preferences > Cursor > Cursor Shape: Block

This is how it's set up on my machine, but I'm in favour of ROXTerm and
I've got

  eval "$(starship init bash)"

in my .bashrc for some other customisation, https://starship.rs/ .
