Compiling static XServer

Hello,

I would like to build/compile XFree86 statically with
less number of drivers and added a custom driver. I
made changes in xf86site.def and compiled the XServer.
It has compiled with the drivers as mentioned in
xf86site.def. 

When I try to add any custom X modules drvConf.c gives
undefined errors for  the custom drivers. 

Can anyone tell me how I could add custom modules onto
a statically built Xserver?
