I have no idea. I don't know most of the personalities involved. However, there were people at these meetings that I understand to be neutral or even indicated they were leaning toward the BOD's opinions. They also felt that getting some BOD members on the phone would be helpful. If nothing else, the BOD should call in so those of us who do not know all the XFree86 developers personally have a chance to hear both sides of the story. In my experience with conflicts of this kind, the phone has always turned out to be a good idea. And I've been in much messier conflicts than this one. Really, what's to lose by having a phone conversation? An hour of time? We've already spent a lot more time than that on these emails. Havoc
