I see your point a little better now and appreciate your response.  It would
seem we are saying the same thing, just from a bit of a different angle.  I
whole heartedly agree that no one can make anyone do anything they don't
want to.  After all, who would volunteer for such a thing?  I know I
certainly would not and by your comments I feel you agree.

I guess what I was trying to relate is that there are some people who lack
direction and would like to have things suggested to them for the
"betterment of XFree".  I can tell that many here actually do feel this way
(or the suggestions have just luckily fell on accepting ears ;-) to some
extent.  I am personally trying to find a way to contribute to XFree, but
have not come up with anything yet.  I normally write device driver and
such.  Doing this type of work under XFree will require quite a bit of my
time lurking through the code just to figure things out.  It is a big
project with lots of small details needing attention.

I think we've beaten this horse enough ;-) so I'll stop pontificating and
get on to coding.
