I'd installed Debian 3.0 Linux, which apparently had X11 "4.x" support. However could not get my NVIDEA GeForce2 working. I've since uninstalled my Linux. Nevertheless I plan to switch to Linux soon, and would like to know, what do I need to do to, install the latest XFree86 distribution to override what comes with Linux distribution. Is there some kind of uninstall (i.e.: rm -rf /usr/X11R6/*) required before installing 4.3. PS: Is 4.3 stable or current. Thank you, I. :)
