Help issues are best dealt with in [email protected] mailing list. This forum, 'forum' is meant to deal with the planning and future direction of XFree86 project. Debian 3.0 stable ('woody') comes with 4.1.x which is fairly dated (2001). Newer versions of XFree86 (4.3.0 is from Feb 2003) are available in Debian testing and unstable ('sid'), you should consult the various Debian help methods to find out how to upgrade your XFree86 to use the version from either testing or unstable. This is a distribution issue, they can help you. The XFree86 'nv' driver supports nVidia GeForce2 cards, and does work in the current release, 4.3.0 (from XFree86's point of view this is "stable" in Debian lingo).
