sorry, that was a misunderstanding on my part.
i was referencing the code maintenance aspect 
only. its logical that no open-source "manager"
can dictate a "workers" choice. and while i don't 
see a manager<->worker relationship brought to 
quite this level in xfree86, i still see a high 
level of distrust given the lack of rw cvs 
accounts, but, as you say, thats your choice.
