Xv on external monitor with neomagic

Hi there,

I've been using the new Xv code in the neomagic driver and it has been
working great, as long as I start XFree on the LCD panel. When I start
XFree on the external monitor (which I do most of the time) xv does not
work, I get just a black video with a blue line on the left.

This was already reported by Frank Fiene back in April and Egbert Eich
pointed out that the problem is that the h and v timings need to be
derived from the modeline (see
http://www.xfree86.org/pipermail/neomagic/2002-April/001021.html).

Is there any fix that implements this available somewhere? I tried
looking in the neo_video.[ch] files but I could not figure out where
does this come into play, although I must admit that this is the first
time that I take a look at XFree86 code and that I have no idea about
video driver programming, so I was kind of lost :-)

I would really appreciate any help in making the necessary fixes so that
it becomes possible to use Xv on external monitors.

Thanks in advance,

Diego
