Neomagic driver with low res modes

I haven't the bandwidth or HD space to hack the driver myself, but I really need the driver to not disable stretching for low res modes like 400x300 and 320x240. These modes work, but are not properly stretched (only use the left half of the screen), and I've tracked down the problem to the fact that the neomagic driver disables LCD stretching in those modes. Also, 400x300 didn't work with the default modelines, however I have found a modeline that actually works with it, though as previously stated it doesn't properly stretch it. Is there anyway to force it to leave stretching enabled for those modes, or if not could an option for that be added? Also, just out of curiosity, why does it disable stretching anyway?
