Dear User, I have a gateway solo 5150 with neomagic MagicMedia 256AV (NM2200) chipset. A 1024x786 screen. After being a very happy RH6.2 user for a long time I reluctantly upgraded to Rh7.3 This 'upgrade' resulted in a number of problems but the most frustrating is a font problem in gv, netscape and a number of other application (such as my own tcl/tk scripts). Everything comes out microscopically small. A previous message to this I saw someone had noted the same problem. I see ( in /var/log/XFree86.0.log) (--) NEOMAGIC(0): Display dimensions: (2550, 2550) mm (--) NEOMAGIC(0): DPI set to (10, 7) Which is apperantly wrong (i am not a X guru). It was mentioned that this can be fixed by setting `gdmconfig to initialize the X server to -dpi 75'. I have KDE installed so I am running kdm. Does anyone know how to implement this fix ? (where do I set -dpi 75 ?). Is there another solution ? Much appreciated Gertjan -- ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// G.J.
