configure problem

I'm trying to compile 0.91.0 on Solaris 8. My configure is:

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/pkg/WindowMaker-0.91.0
--with-libs-from=/usr/local/lib
--with-incs-from="/usr/local/include/X11/Xft /usr/local/include"

Pertinent flags are:

CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/local/include/X11/Xft -I/usr/local/include
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:/usr/lib:/usr/openwin/lib:/usr/ucblib:/usr/local/lib/X11/fvwm2-2.2.4:/usr/local/gnu/lib

PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig
LDFLAGS=-L/usr/local/lib

It's dying with:

checking for the Xft2 library... found
checking whether libXft is at least version 2.1.2... no

ERROR!!! libXft on this system is an old version.
        Please consider upgrading to at least version 2.1.2.

I have libXft 2.1.6 installed, and config.log appears to show it looking
at the proper files. I can't find anything else in the documentation to
try, unless I just missed it. Any ideas? Thanks.

Cindy
