you can verify the actual revision of the library with: grep XFT_REVISION /usr/local/include/X11/Xft/Xft.h also I would recommend you to use the cvs version of wmaker, since it fixed some problems where it wouldn't detect libxft or wouldn't compile on solaris The cvs snapshot from the web page should be fine.
