Something similar happens to me after I:

1. minimize all windows on a given workspace
2. do a "show all", which results in un-minimizing all windows

The bottom window is focused rather than the top one.

This is all the more confusing when you use maximized windows.. It can
be rather annoying if you use a keyboard shortcut to quickly close a
window and accidentally close another.. or even have disastrous results
if you send a CTRL+C to the wrong xterm and brutally terminate a
long-running job by mistake..

same here..

I assumed it was a bug.. In my example above & with maximized windows I
couldn't think of any good reason why the focus would go to a window
that's not even visible..

Yes you're right.. I just ran a quick test on 0.80.2 using your scenario
w/o problems.. So though they're in the same area.. it looks like we're
dealing with two different problems after all :-(

My problem appears to be that after a "show all" the bottom-of-the-stack
window is focused rather than the top one.
