I just want to add that I have also been using wmaker since 1998, like to 
be able to manage my own window stacking order, and find the new "fixed" 
behavior rather annoying as well.  :)

<vent> When you've been using an environment this long, minor changes 
become major annoyances.  I'm about ready to go back to 0.90.0 or before 
and give up on new versions, when each one seems to bring a change that 
breaks "classic" windowmaker behavior...it gets frustrating. </vent>
