Yes, I use this feature too but don't solve all the problem. Gaim is a bad example. Imagine firefox with four or five maximiced windows, if you click in the dock icon you will se only the last actived window but can't select which one you want... you have to play with alt+tab or middle click window list. In osx is very ease with expose, you can show only windows related to actived app. In Xorg we haven't expose therefor tasklist for related windows in title could be a solution.
