Background image

Hi,

I have a problem in changhing my background image.
I put an image in:

sbrizio@debian:~/GNUstep/Library/WindowMaker/Backgrounds$

and after i select it from menu.
The problem is:
my resolution is 1024x768 and if i choose a 800x600 image it doesn't 
fill the screen completely.
i'm wondering if i can adapt different size images to my resolution.
I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult but i'm just at the 
beginning..thanks everyone can help me.
