Southern Louisiana. hiking? right...


I know of a trail in the Black Creek Wilderness in MS, and I've heard of
trails further north in LA ... above Alexandria. I no of nothing closer.

...Actually, now that I look at Shane's site <

he also shows a 'Clear Springs Campground' in MS that claims to have some
hiking trails. For 'real' hiking I end up driving to north Georgia and the
AT, but that is at best a once a year event.

Mark -- who spends too much time in Houma (hard to get much more southern
in Louisiana :)
