What length are the poles?
I say that because it may work for you anyway.

My SMD Lunar Solo uses longer poles, but I have imagined a rock under 
shorter poles would still work.
My BD poles got to 140, and my wife's poles that go to 125 don't work.

Adjustable poles do help with adjusting ventilation.

You can also try using the poles at an angle, and dig a small divot for the 
handle end to prevent slipping.
That assumes they aren't too long to do that.
