Thank you for the posting, Roleigh. I think the North Country Natnl. Scenic Trail would be a good candidate for a nice looooong lightweight trek, so it's not really off topic here. But, doesn't the article ignore the ADT (American Discovery Trail) at around 6,800 miles and going through 15 states? As you and many others here know, the ADT runs all the way from Point Reyes CA to Cape Henlopen Delaware. So, isn't that the most likely candidate to be called the "Longest Trail in the Nation?" In any event, it would be really nifty of one of our 5000 members could do either of these really long trails, and report on their journey here.
