Like Don, I found the silk weight patagonia worked pretty well for the
body, and ultra-thin coolmax seems pretty good for the feet... but I have
to say my favorite (at least for my feet) have been the insulated vapor
barrier socks from http://www.rbhdesigns.com which I found work well right
against the skin without a liner.
