Had to think back. There are a number of reasons. One is the highly
flexible nature of the mattress. Because of the way I move during the
night, it was easy to roll off the mattress. I use quilts I got from BPL
when it sold things. I put the quilt straps under the mattress but I was
still able to roll off, quilt and all and getting it all back in order was
not quite conducive to a restful sleep. I felt like a turtle when that
happened. Since you ask if it were a quilt, I'm going to guess you're at
least partially thinking about cold coming through the openings during this
time of year. That is a prime consideration.

I didn't like adding a 1/4-lb to get the full length NeoAir but being far
more refreshed in the morning made it a no brainer.
