I'd go for the UL inner jacket model myself. Besides being cheaper, it is just a bit more resilient at the cost of an ounce or two. I more or less agree with the other poster on temperature range. By itself over a lightweight baselayer it's probably good to around 40-45F, adding a shell adds another 10-15F to that. I have the parka version and love it. BTW, it runs kind of tight.
