Re: Sawyer Water Filter

500 uses and I understand failure, 150 uses even, but less than 50.  The point is not to carry backup systems to systems, but to have solid systems so that the light part of backpacking is hit upon.  I don't personally think the Sawyer is the best option at this point in the game.  If I have to carry the chemicals as the backup, why not simply make the chemicals the primary then, lighter, no mechanical failure and no hassle..
