The bags were initially designed to be hung, but people started squeezing them. They took a bit of squeeze without failure, so people started squeezing them a bit harder, ... and harder. Eventually, when you kneel on them in the dirt for too long, they fail. There's the squeeze line of bags, but they too can be overloaded. Anything can be overloaded. The filter works fine when used as directed. Which includes regular back flushing and gravity feed. But anything fails when misused. Cheers
