Hello again, everyone. Here's the Netiquette info we usually send out around this time each month.
***************************
PLEASE BE POLITE, even when you disagree with a post. Deliberately impolite posts will cause a member to be immediately banned from this group.
STAY ON TOPIC. Our group is a discussion group about lightweight backpacking. All other subjects are off topic.
TRIM YOUR REPLIES;
Please remove unnecessary information from your posts, such as
headers and footers. When quoting from a previous message it is usually only necessary to include the e-mail address of the original poster and those parts of the text that pertain specifically to your reply, not the entire message. This streamlines your answer. A good rule of thumb is to try not have the material you quote be longer than your reply. We realize this isn't always possible. :o)
Daily Digest subscribers, please be careful not to re-post the entire digest with your reply.
KEEP SUBJECT HEADERS UPDATED;
When you start a new thread or when the topic drifts, you can click
the "Start Topic" button at the top right of your screen. This will
allow you provide a new header so your thread will be distinct from other threads.
Before hitting "send", please take a minute to read and
edit your post to be sure it is a useful, positive and polite addition to our discussions.
Thank you for being a part of Yahoo's Backpacking Light group! Posting your questions, experiences, thoughts and observations brings valuable information to other lightweight and ultralight hikers.
We wish you excellent and safe lightweight hiking!
