Thanks, John, I should have thought of Limmer. The best sturdy (HEAVY!) leather boots I ever had were Limmers. Absolutely the Rolls Royce of leather boots! Hilers on the west coast didn't usually know what they were, but those from the east coast sometimes approached me going "O.M.G. are those LIMMERS?!"  :^)  Cheers,  Don L.
