Out here in Northern CA I don't carry enough extra clothes to fill a stuff sack. 
 I took a kids water wing, cut it so that is lays flat and sewed up a fleece 
sleeve for it.  Works great in the hammock and well enough if I have to go to 
ground.

Good one I personally like the feel of a cotton pillow case therefore a small 
pillowcase stuffed with my down jacket fluffed,  Mont Bell calls it a sweater, 
works great. Even look in the baby section for a small pillow case.
