Rob Scott's suggestion of the Enchantments is a good one for beauty. However a permit is required and only 60 people are allowed in for any one night and 75% of the slots are give out in a lottery held in March. The rest are held in reserve to be awarded to those that are lined up at the door at 7:45 AM and people line up quite early. My suggestion would be to drive to Salmon La Sac near Cle Elum and hike a loop starting by hiking up to Cathedral Rock and then hiking south on the Pacific Crest Trail going by Deep Lake, Waptus Lake, and Spectacle Lake then back out by way of Pete Lake. If you are long mileage hikers you can add several side trips: Dutch Miller Gap and Lk Ivanhoe - Spade Lake - and a day hike south from Spectacle. Another loop (maybe better) would to park at Snoqualmie Pass (I-90) PCT trail head and take the old PCT up past Alpintal Ski area to Snow Lake and Dutch Miller Gap. Then down to the PCT at Waptus Lake and south on the PCT past Joe and Alaska lakes back to Snoqualmie Pass. I've not hike the "Old PCT route" up to Dutch Miller Gap but I have done the rest of this loop many times and the views do not come any better. Take a look at my pics of this area: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.340891232666144.84310.100002358093214&type=3 If my knee doesn't allow me to get back to my thru-hike soon I might be interested in hiking opposite directions and trading car keys for and non loop hike through the Alpine Wilderness between Snoqualmie and Stevens Passes or maybe through the Goat Rocks Wilderness.
