Great find James.

I wonder how well the PowerPot V would work with a wood stove like the Sierra or Bush Buddy??? (yes, very messy with soot) 

Using my Giga canister stove would be expensive and take a lot of canisters. At 1 amp it would take close to two hours to charge the 1800 battery which is the same size as my Andriod's battery. That is one full 4oz canister set on low throttle.

Just to compare:
 My Nomad 3.5 solar charger with at Guide 10 battery pack and one set on 2300 mAh batteries weighs in at 17oz including all the cords I use. It has kept me well supplied with all the electrons I needed (Android used as GPS/Maps/Phone/web journal updates/camera) for the first 260 miles of Southern Calif.

1) PowerPot V with lid 19.5oz + Giga stove 3oz + one 4oz Canister =26.5oz

2) Evernew ti 1.3L pot 5oz + Giga & Canister + solar charger 17oz = 29oz 

3) ti pot+alcohol stove+6oz fuel+wind screen 12.8oz + solar chr= 29.8 oz

4) PowerPot V 19.5 + Sierra wood stove 16oz = 35.5oz 

Here in Washington with the trees the PowerPot V might be a great choice if backpacking/fishing/hunting rather than thru-hiking.
