I just visited a friend I have not seen in 40 years. He is living in Custer, SD. Whenever I think of SD, I do not think of backpacking or hiking but going there changed my mind. It is beautiful there with lots of good hiking. It would be a climber's paradise. Unfortunately my friend was sick the whole time but I did get some nice hikes in. GB
