Hello to a fellow scot,
I am not quite in the highlands, but on the fringes. We have some great forest tracks around Mearns & Deeside. Went out for a couple of hours last week in Durris Forest mid week it was just so peaceful. I would like to do the route you did but getting home or to Fort William from Aberdeen is a nightmare journey especially when you are going to finish up in Inverness. I would just get the bus home from Inverness.
Did you watch The Map Man on TV Wednesday night on the Corrieryack Pass (I know the spelling is wrong) I would love to attempt that on a bike have read reviews somewhere, but dont suppose it will be this year. L bbird

Hi, Glad to find a group about cycling in Scotland,, shame its so
small. I'm based up in the highlands and ride mainly off road on the
hundreds of miles of tracks up here, the last ride was about a
fortnight ago. Fort William to Inverness on the new cycle way, it's
a great ride but the HILLS!!, some serious hill riding and if like me
u carry tent/sleeping bag some shuffing the bike up hills.
Anyway always glad to hear from anybody interested in biking, although
I'm running at the moment going to do the loch ness marathon, it's for
charity, wont let me cycle !, will be back soon GG
