Here's how these cluster for me, at a quick glance:

There seems to be a lot of "to avoid something else that would have 
been worse than complying".

Another class is "so I could get something else I wanted".

(An interesting subclass of that is where "something else" concerns 
the relationship with the person making the request.)

Yet another is "I wanted to".

> In the "reasons not to"?

By comparison, these seem to be all over the map. I find that 
interesting.
