Hi James,
For me personally, resistance is, what I like to call, a 'dharma bell', a signal from universe that there is more 'confusion' to clear in the mind. How to clear up in other ways than I know is what I'm searching for at the moment.

So, you want to productively harness your resistance resource?

What is resistance doing for you?

I used to get annoyed at myself for procrastinating. Oh, I wasted
countless hours of countless days in self-loathing over that. No more.
Procrastination is a resource. Procrastination (a form of resistance,
right) is something I now treat as a message from my sub-conscious that
"it's not soup yet" in there. I've learned to gently push myself to do
the thing I'm supposed to do. If my mind pushes back, I drop it for a
day and then try again. I can go on for weeks. And it feels ok.

Procrastination is my mind's way of protecting me from doing poor
  quality work.
