Yeah ... seems maybe overly complex to me. Why define "simple trust" 
"blind trust" & "authentic trust" -- how do I benefit from the 
distinction? Or maybe he's trying to pin down these common phrases to 
help clarify what is typically confusing cliches into the core issues: 
trust and distrust -- getting to the root of the matter.

At root, sort of sounds like the paradoxical balancing act of, "do not 
throw your pearls before swine" and "Honor one another above 
yourselves." "Simple" and "blind" trust would never have the wisdom to 
switch into pearls & swine mode when it's needed. (Which sounds like I'm 
implying these two verses can't co-exist when put into action; actually 
I believe they can.)
