Yeah, it's quiet here much of the time, punctuated by flurries of 
activity.

I'll bet you've learned a thing or two about resistance from both 
of those roles.  Care to share something you've learned?  Or 
maybe something you haven't learned yet?

I saw Paul speak at the Sacramento chapter of the Project 
Management Institute a few weeks ago.  He's a very engaging and 
entertaining speaker.  I keep checking for his books on the 
shelves of the local book stores.  No luck yet.

Thanks for the pointer.  Can you tell us about a few of the ideas 
from the book?

I've been reading /Building Trust/ by Robert C. Solomon and 
Fernando Flores.  Lots of interesting ideas, but they're quite 
abstract.  I'm having a hard time figuring out how to put them to 
good use.  An example:

"Whereas simple trust is devoid of dustrust, and blind trust 
denies the very possibility of distrust, authentic trust is 
articulated in such a way that it must recognize the 
possibilities for betrayal and disappointment."

This seems right to me.  I don't know quite what to do with that 
thought, but it seems right.  It did trigger a thought 
experiment, though, so maybe that's enough for now:
