I would be EMPTYING my 500 gallon tank at these prices~!
crude oil came down from nearly $100 to about $65 a bbl., but the price
of diesel cargos also came down from around $900 to closer to $630 a
tonne. Late this week, a waterborne (barge or ship) No. 2 diesel in
US Gulf Coast was selling for $ 1.94 a gallon - so there is some
serious diesel gouging and taxing going on. For reference, unleaded
87 octane under same condition was about $1.64, so the differential
even at the pumps SHOUDN'T be much more than $0.30
I expect it will come down, because virtually everything shipped on
wheels or rail is getting screwed badly right now
