Just finished beating some heat out of the TDI. It's been blowing the evil black foam out of the vents for years. I had pretty much zero cabin heat last time I tried it and occasionally we really do get around to having some cold here in Texas.... Pulled the dash all apart and yup, the foam covering the vent doors was completely gone. I replaced it with aluminum HVAC tape and put just enough dash back together to have heat and radio. The rest will wait a day or two. I find that fighting VW dash plastic gives me Turrets-like thoughts of "trade-in". So yup, the stories are true. VW heat runs on foam. When the foam runs out, so does the heat. -Shalyn _______________________________________________ Vwdiesel mailing list [email protected] http://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/vwdiesel
