Folow ARP torque specification. VW Spec is for a torque to yield fastener, which the ARP are not. The ARP torque spec is a function of thread pitch, to attain required clamping force. -j -----Original Message----- From: Vwdiesel [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ralph Meyermann Sent: April-07-15 7:44 AM To: VW Diesel Group Subject: [Vwdiesel] Head gasket questions Hi Volks, currently fully rebuilding my aaz. I have a multi layer steel head gasket, do I need some sort of head gasket sealant? We ran steel shim gaskets on our limited late model engines that we used aerosol can copper coat on. And I'm getting ARP head studs, do I still follow the factory torque/stretch specs? Thanks! _______________________________________________ Vwdiesel mailing list [email protected] http://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/vwdiesel _______________________________________________ Vwdiesel mailing list [email protected] http://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/vwdiesel
